Vaughn Gittin Jr. - Monsters Street Fighting Man leaves his mark in his 2011 Monster Energy/ Falken Tire Ford Mustang on the first round of Formula Drift



The 2010 Formula Drift season got underway this past weekend with the 5th annual Streets of Long Beach drift event. This season we get to see Vaughn Gittin Jr. in his newly sponsored Monster Energy Drink 2011 Ford Mustang GT powered by another version of the supercharged 4.6-liter V-8 we have come to know and love over the years. Another of his sponsors remains from last season in Falken Tire as they provide their new RT-615K tires to be shredded on the track by Vaughn.


In the first race of the season Vaughn Gittin Jr. took the top spot followed by second place finisher Rhys Millen in his Hyundai Genesis coupe and Tanner Foust took third in his NASCAR V-8 powered Scion tC.

I didn't even know that this was an actual competitive venue. I would imagine that this must tear cars up? Especially when they are made to go forward.
