    wierd shimmy around 30 - 40 mph

SmokinStangs - Mustang Forum! The home of the SmokinStangs Laconia - Mustang Rally
so with the nice weather I have been driving the fox around quite a bit this week

since I pulled it out of storage last week I noticed the car has a strange shimmy/shake around 30 - 40 mph and goes away once you get up to higher speeds ( 50 + )....On the highway you don't feel it at all.

I thought the transmission mount might be junk and the cuase...but wanted to hear some other opinions.

Was the car sitting on the tires all winter?

ian it may just be tire balance or flat spots on the tires, feel free to swing it over and we will put it up and take a look

well the tires are brand new...i dont think they have 300 miles on em. When I stored the car I inflated the tires to 40 psi and then when I took the car out I brought them back down to 32.

Dana..thanks for the offer...I gotta get the cobra up to you, so maybe when i drop that off ill come with the fox as well and have ya look at it.

Yeah, that just kinda sounds like flat spotting to me Ian. It definitely sounds tire related, since the vibration goes away at speed. I'd say to drive on it a bit more.

    Flat spotting.

Drive and it should work it's way out. Overfilling on storage doesn't work all the time. I put mine on stands because of this usually

+1 That's why I drive mine a few miles every few weeks in the winter, carefully picking and choosing the weather/road conditons.
