    custom paint, rearseat delete, some under hood work,

    Why not? They prob bypassed the neutral safety switch.

    Well that's what the article said, it did. I'm cousin had a remote start in his standard Jetta and it was bypassed, but you still needed to step on the gas to make it go. That's what I don't get. If someone wasn't in the car, how did it go?

    It can move. It would probably stall, but it would move. If you look at the comments, everybody's blaming the dealer. Why? The owner's the idiot who dropped off a car with a remote start and a manual trans, left it in gear with the e-brake off, gave the dealership the remote, and didn't tell anyone. Damn right it's that guy's fault. I wouldn't pay if I owned the dealership either.

    Well that's what I mean... I would think it might move maybe a foot and that's if it's on a hill.
    Sad thing about that is that insurance company's are involved, so the dealership will prolly end up paying through the insurance... but I bet they wont let him take his car there for service anymore..lol

    Prob installed a remote start not meant for a manual.

    Real manual starts require you to leave the car wiith the engine running in nuetral to activate it. If the door opens again, it cancels the ability to start
