I'm currently saving up and almost to the point of purchasing my first aftermarket supercharger. I'm fond of the KB Big Bore 2.1L and I want to run it at 9psi. It's for my 03 GT, which will be my daily driver once my 98 sells. I'm brand spakin new to the actual usage of performance modifications, and if there's anyone out there that can hook me up with suggestions, it would be much appreciated. I know I need forged internals, etc...but any help is welcome! Thanks
*edit*
This is the kit I'm looking at. Is there anything else anyone recommends?

Looks like a GREAT choice to me..!! Gotta love the KB whine !~!~
Then again I am a bit partial to the "Twin Screw" I have the "BABY" KB... 1.7 making 10 PSI,
I am running it on my 01 GT / Saleen which is completely stock top to bottom end.! I do have a fairly conservative tune in it though.. I guess depending on your ultimate goals you might be best with forged internals..

You don't necessarily need to forge the engine if you plan on staying around the 375-400 rwhp range. You can stay pretty safe in that area. What you will need is new injectors, boost a pump, maf, and I think a focus pump.
Since the car is going to be your DD, I would actually recommend a centrifugal blower like a procharger or vortech. They are not parasitic and you can stay out of boost all the time if you wanted to.

People could argue about this all day. I searched forum upon forum the past few years trying to make a decision. There are a large number of people that have had sucessful setups on a stock internal 4.6, there are also enough people that have thrown rods thru the side of their block with very similar setups. Many people argue its the tune, and like mentioned above, the car can be detuned to whatever number you are comfortable with.
There is no arguing that kit you linked above would be fun. That is big bucks tho. Centrifugal setups if you spend some time looking and piecing things together can be had substantially cheaper. I ended up going that route and also have quite a few parts leftover as some things came up during my install that led to me changing my mind on some things. I also have a head unit for sale, if your interested in it I have a video if it running in my car.
Like mentioned above, a centri setup you can drive around most of the time and not even know the car is blown. Each type has its fan group. When I drive back and forth to work with my car, it doesnt see boost at all, which i kinda like.
