I think you mean 2.73's Or 3.08s Bruce.

I have 3.73s in my car. I ran them woth the AOD which I thought was perfect, but now that I swapped my car to a 5-sped I think they are too much.

    If I could don't again, I'd do 3.55s with a 5-spd

one thing to note - if your exhaust system is prone to drone at a certain RPM level (hello Flowmaster!) then use the calculator above to make sure the ratio you choose is not going to leave you in that RPM range on the highway.

No, Mike I did not. I meant 2.08s. That's what came in my car and it is confirmed by the codes in the door jamb. I couldn't believe it either until the actual gears were out and in my hand. WTF???

In over 20 years of screwing with these stupid cars I have never seen a 2.08 gear ratio. I would be interested to see the 2.08 stamping on the pinion or ring gear, your car is incredibly unique if so!

Unfortunately, I don't think I still have the gears. If I do find them buried behind a big pile of crap in the basement, I'll be sure to post up a pic.

I'll have to look at my door tag to compare. I have a 94 GT convertible too and it had 3.08's

I definitely did not have 3.08s. I'm 100% sure it started with a 2. I won't say it's impossible that they were 2.73s, but when Gumby posted that he had 2.08s, the number sounded awfully familiar to me. But maybe they were 2.73s. It's been too many years since I changed out the gears to be sure. I just remember that I felt like I had added another 4 cylinders under the hood.

For 1994 you either had standard 2.73's, optional 3.08's, or the COBRA's had 3.27 option I believe.

Automatics could get 3.27s....at least in the fox years. 2.73 was standard and 3.08s was optional on the 5-spd and 3.27s optional on the aods

I loved the 3.27s on my 03GT. I drove a lot of highway so it was perfect for me. But something about a 4.6 with 4.30s of higher that is fun.
