Ferrea Valves Power ‘Speed Demon’ Streamliners’ 462 MPH Blast




During the annual Speedweeks 2011 held at the fabled Bonneville Salt Flats in Utah last fall, the dynamic duo of George Poteet and Ron Main – both in their 60′s – pressed their Speed Demon piston-powered and wheel-driven streamliner to stunning exit speed of 462 MPH.

While the 462 MPH blast down the historic strip of salt was more then enough to set a land speed record in their category of C/Blown Fuel Streamliner for piston-driven and wheel-driven streamliners, mechanical issues prevented them from making the required return run on the course to make the record official. Nonetheless, 462 MPH with or without propulsion is hauling some serious ass.
