The Nitto NT05R is a better tire if you're looking for traction. http://www.nittotire.com/Tire/nt05r

No doubt the NTO5 is probably a better overall track tire but I only run 2 or 3 times a year and the NT05's 305's were a 45 and seemed a bit tall to me. Also I do drive the car quite alot and get caught in the rain here and there as well, so for now I think the 555RII's will be a better overall fit for my type of use.

congrats barry........
just BE CAREFULL if you plan to drive the car in wet conditions. A drag radial in the rain no matter what brand it is.....is still a drag radial in the rain. They are very dangerous.
I will be curious to see what your opinion is of those

Thanks Guys,
Point well taken Ian , If I know its going to be "raining" I wouldn't take the car but like I said I do occasionally get caught in the rain so I will certainly keep in mind I dont have a street tires.!!!
Looking forward to spring so I can see how the new rubber works out !

Last spring Coming home from Ed Day in my buddy Wayne’s 71 Cutlass we got caught in some Significant Downpours.
Wayne has Mickey Thompson ET Streets on the back of his Cutlass…we were FINE….Just take it easy in the rain and you will be Fine.
I am throwing a set of Nitto NT 05R Drag Radials on the back of mine this spring.
-------------
The Nitto NT 05 255 17s on the rear of mine now will find their way onto the rear of the T Top Coupe
