55 for heads & 35 fogs kept reading everywhere 55 gets to hot for fog enclosure also went with 6k
55W can also get too hot for some OEM headlight housings as well. It's dependant on the headlight design of the vehicle, but i've seen melted wires and housings from 55W HID setups.
Also, don't power the ballasts from your headlight wiring. Use relays and connect main power to the battery or power distribution block. The factory headlight harness isn't rated to supply current during the startup phase for HID ballasts.

As Mike said, this is a necessity. Don't try it with the stock wiring; use relays! FWIW, the kits from StangMods come with relays and the relays are triggered from a socket that plugs into one of the stock headlight wiring bulb plugs. It's very plug and play. I don't know about the other kits, but they probably do something similar.
