I've ordered a Trunk lid mat from Grand design mat. www.granddesignmat.com/ In speaking to Phil (one of the owners) he was indicating that he may discountinue his business.
Not sure of the newer Mustangs, but my car, I guess as a cost savings idea, Ford didn't factory install any carpeting on the underside of the trunk lid. I suppose its a weight saver as well, but for some people its just an unfinished piece of the car. (like me)
He stated that the materials prices have gone up (he gets carpet directly from Ford) and that licensing fees from Ford have gone up as well. As a result he is contemplating closing up shop. If your interested check them out online before its too late. I got mine in this week and was blown away. The quality is awesome.
I've gotta say this is a trend that I am seeing in accessory parts availability for late 90's and early 2000's cars. Then again they have had two body style changes since '04 so it is to be expected.

I haven't installed it yet. I will soon and try and post up some pictures.
Under my hood, I had the same problem because of the added height of the supercharger. I taped it off and simply painted it black. I used some high heat black matte spray paint.

Basically what Jibber is trying to say is- "I must buy things to help me hide as much yellow on the car as possible"
Thanks for the info, Kevin! I've been planning to get one for years and kept putting it off. Ordered one today! The heads up is much appreciated!

Got mine today. Here's a lousy cell phone photo. But it really doesn't matter because it doesn't look that great with the protective film and writing stuck over the mirrored pony. Can't wait to find the time to get it on there and take the film off! I'll try to remember to take a few pictures while installing it and post them up. I'll use the DSLR for that.
Thanks to Lu Ann for a great early birthday present. It has to be early because Ed Day is on my birthday this year and of course I want it on before that!
BTW, their packaging is very good. It's absolutely impossible to slip with the knife and scratch the mat when cutting the tape to open the package. The instructions are pretty well done and there appears to be an extra pushpin in the bag, since there are the same number (7 in my case) as their are holes in the mat, but one of the holes takes a pushpin is already part of the third brake light harness if I'm reading the instructions correctly.
