Also saw this the other day. Sounds like there were "family issues" involved too, but be careful who you de-friend on Facebook.

Yeah, I saw that. Funny when you first encounter it, then a bit later, not so much. Here's another take on the whole thing:

Yeah, I agree. That was a bit childish on his part. Whoopty-doo, he spent $130 upgrading her latop. That's awesome -- nice Dad. But then he wigs out and destroys it because she wrote a ill-considered and impulsive rant on Facebook? Dude! She's 15 -- it's her JOB to be impulsive and do stupid things (and rant about her parents.) THATS WHAT TEENAGERS DO!

The guy really needed to step back, relax and let it go. Maybe have a discussion about her post and venting in public. Maybe take away her laptop for a while. But what he did was just as irrational and impulsive as what she did.

I got out of it that he had done that for a while. I say good for him!! Now lets see if he goes through with the not buying her the new things.
