Love It
Hate It
Don't know
Don't care
A brief discussion showed up in another thread. So I thought it would be a good idea to keep that convo going. Since I am not currently on Facebook and was thinking about signing up I want to hear about all the Pros and Cons.

The new layout is quirky to say the least. Old way was better. I finally got on about a year ago. I make it fun and a lot of Mustang enthusiasts are on there, too. I also am able to keep in touch with my cousins and friends who have moved away. I like it but I wouldnt say I love it.

I liked it until Ian told me all those models and porno chicks aren't real and they don't really want to be my friend
Sorry, Kevin. None of the possible choices expresses my view. I don't love it or hate it or anything else. I just don't trust it and have no interest for that reason. They have a habit of changing the privacy policies way too often, and every change is for the worse IMHO. I don't trust FB or Zuckerberg. Don't now and doubt I ever will. Wish I did - it would make some things in life easier, but they have proven too many times they can't be trusted. [rant off!]

I am not crazy about it. It is great for finding people and seeing what's going on in lives of friends. I just think that too much can get said at times. Its like having a page on YouTube.com. Younger generations I have noticed can not communicate anymore. Hold a conversation. Everything is done with texting ect. I was reciently at a bruins game and saw an adult constantly on face book with her phone device. I could not believe it. She did not even pay attention to the game. well like topless94 said I am ranting on, sorry. Well just so you know id rather be on smokinstangs.com listening to intelligent people!
I am a fan of Facebook... I love posting my photos up. Keeping in touch with friends and family members. Like Stan said, there are a TON of Mustang fanatics on there. The only thing I can't stand about FB, are the people who post every little detail of their lives... What they're eating for dinner, what they're watching on TV or the drama in their lives... I will only post what I care for people to know or see.

I don't care either way. People are obsessed with FB like they were with Myspace a few years ago. The majority of sheeple that use it have no life outside of their cyberlife. For me, it is a handy tool to keep up with friends and family. That's my purpose for using it. Sometimes I will vent about stuff but I never get involved in the drama posts. I have no need for anymore drama in my life than what comes naturally. I despise the people who post nasty hateful comments to make themselves feel superior. While I understand Bruce's concerns for privacy and Zuckerburg's fascination with disrupting that, it's a user beware site. Post only what information you want known. If you don't want it out on the internet for everyone to see, don't post about it. As for the ever changing security stuff, I don't rely on FB to notify us of their updates or wait for the media to get their panties in a twist over an unannounced change. I take it upon myself to check periodically what people can and cannot see. Checking to make sure people who have been blocked stay blocked and so on.
Not on it, don't like it. If there's something that someone wants to tell me then they know where to find me. I'm not hard to find. I agree with other posts that new generations don't know how to communicate. Being in the medical field, the kids don't know how not to be away from phone/computer to give you two seconds to answer "how are you doing" and the parents encourage it a lot of the time. I do see the advantages to share photos like Amy does, but honestly, that's about it. My sister is constantly saying things on it that should never be said and one of these days will bite back at her in a bad way.
Just my opinions of course.
