    Fox Hatch is HEAVY...!!!!

SmokinStangs - Mustang Forum! The home of the SmokinStangs Laconia - Mustang Rally
Wow is a Fox Hatch Heavy with the Struts removed.....

After 21+ years my hatch struts needed to be replaced. I cant believe how heavy the hatch is with no struts holding it up---good thing I still hit those weights in the gym....

Job would have been much easier with someone holding the hatch...Note to Self..grab an assistant next time I try this or get a Notch!!!!

Yeah, we learned that taking the hatch off of PFH! Good thing there were 4-5 of us there that day!

I am going to be feelin your pain!! The Hatch on my 92GT needs new struts and I was thinking of removing the hatch to paint the car. It's not going to be fun but lucky me I weigh about 280 and my brother in law is 6'3" and about 370 we'll......Get-R-Done!!!

Capri hatch is a lot heavier. By the way, do one at a time and use a pair of vise grips on the one that hasnt been changed yet to hold it open. Jeff, you new sig is awesome.

That is a great piece of advice....I held it up with one hand and used the other to swap out the struts-it was painful and silly.
