Random photo thread - post any pictures (taken by you)

I don't think we have a general random photo thread here.. and every good forum needs one, in our opinion.

Post any shots you like, they don't need to follow any pattern or order or logic.. post a little blurb along with it if you have some additional info to share.. a story, a circumstance, an event.

If there is a picture that has truly caught your eye, feel free to post that here as well!!

Playing around with lighting and settings on my then-new digital camera a few years ago. Ended up with this.
The warm hint of sepia tone really works well with the colors and textures.

I'm a huge fan of this thread!

This photo is my wedding ring, taken with a D3100 using a macro filter.. by far my favorite so far

This photo was taken at The Common Man in Plymouth, NH. My husband and I were playing a game a chess while waiting for our friends wedding reception to start..Used a D60.

This was taken today using my D3100 and a new lens, 10-20mm wide angle.. Taken at the Tilton Arch. I was about 5 feet from this tree, yet it looks like I was far away. I <3 wide angle.

Trying not to laugh at this while I am posting! Was in Gloucester this summer sitting on my parents beach house porch when Mr. Slowski decided to make an appearance!! Yes he is a big guy. Thank God the street is a private drive, my buddy and I was able to put him in a bin and bring him down the street to the wetlands where he would be safe. Knucklehead must have come from the beach! And all I can say is he never broke the SPEED LIMIT!!!
