This video is a great period piece...revealing the beginning of the big supercharger craze. Motor Trend "in Classic Style" performs a review on a newly installed Vortech Supercharger on 1997 Mustang Cobra. The cobra's base 32-valve power plant produces 305hp.

This video just SCREAMS.....1990's.......where-as 305-350hp v8's ruled the streets!!
For those who remember the term "TPI - Tuned Port Injection," was another often heard performance term as well!! Hello....Trans Am / Firebirds....

This video surely portraits the initial early day excitement that superchargers offered on all levels....and for good reason, as once installed you instantly go from 305hp to a then monstrous, 460hp at 8lbs of boost!!
