Interesting. I'm skeptical though -- Bernie Eccleston, who pretty much controls F1, seems to be quite anti-American.
Where did you hear the news? It really would be cool if F1 Racing came to the US.

Apparently he's willing to overlook his dislike.

I have a friend who lives in Great Britian and is a huge fan he is the one who told me about New Jersey as far as Texas goes On Speed channel they did a whole half hour on the track and the design aspects of building it an that they were looking forward to the first race there in 2012 also they are on the schedule for next year The only thing that bothers me is there aren't any Black Cars but thank God there no Yellow F-1 cars how bad would that be

Dennis, it sounds like you are longing for the days of the Lotus JPS F1 cars. I loved those. In fact, my Lotus that I used to have had the same black with gold pinstripe paint job!![]()

I'll take the Graham hill Jackie Stewart days that was great racing only time you really got to see it was on Wide World of Sports And even today If you don't get up at either three or four on Sunday morning you can't watch it live Maybe if it gets more exposure it may catch on But its very difficult to get tickets to one of the races We had a hard time to get tickets when we went to Canada but if you get on line early enough and a little luck it can happen I only hope that its a success at both locations

I just went to Formula One Racing Schedule 2012 on the web the Race in Austin Texas is Nov 16-18. Weather should be cooled down that time of the year none of that 100 degree heat that they get. They also have the entire schedule for the entire year if you are interested.

Yes, those were the days for F1. Graham Hill and Jack Brabham were my favorites back then. And Jochen Rindt was always fun to watch. I actually got Graham Hill to autograph a copy of his book for me at the Glen one year. I used to go almost every year to the US GP at Watkins Glen and the Canadian GP at either Mosport or St. Jovite (Mont-Tremblant). Those were the days! No trouble getting tickets, just go and camp in the infield. And the tickets were even cheap!

Hell yeah, they're building a track less than a couple hours away! I can't wait!
