SmokinStangs.com prides itself as being an open website.....where-as opinions & views are welcomed by all. We do have moderation in place, and try to utilize it sparingly...very sparingly.
There are some other sites that are like the gastapo, where-as if the owner and/or manager doesn't like something they simply axe it. We personally can't speak for those sites but, we do have to respect their discretion as site owners...as some form of order must be maintained. I will say those sites have successfully ran their site just fine over numerous years leading up to current, all while taking the hard line approach.
Much thought has gone into this subject, and whatever approach is taken....all may not be pleased. A simple inquiry to the site administrator via the "CONTACT US" area on the bottom right hand section of the site may be utilized if someone feels that moderation has occured in error. On thing is clear....moderation is is a tool that must be used....but never abused.
The ultimate goal from this sites "Point of View," is that if it is not revealvent and/or appropiate for the general member base, and/or causes confusion....than it probably doesn't belong here.
There is a "Gray Area" here (a concept that may be unclear).....as some may feel that moderation may or may not be approatiately applied. SmokinStangs.com and the management of as site owners have the ultimate say, and will excersise their best discretion.....for the greater good of the community.
In closing, SmokinStangs.com would rather not moderate/delete/remove a post if at all possible.
Again...."we pride ourself on maintaining an up-beat, free & open, un-groomed / un-edited level of communication here on the SmokinStangs site."
Thank you for your understanding on this potentially sensitive matter.

I pretty much have heard from both sides and it just happens to be both of the top people involved in the situtation Aka Mr Pitard and Mr Lacourse. And there's a lot to both sides I also have had a post pulled for mentioning a certain club But I have watched other people have also mention that club but nothing happened. But I guess if you are a contributor to the well being of the site its O.K. aka "Pictures" .If we are going to set down rules lets set them down for everyone I enjoy this site very much and have made some great relationships. It takes two to make a problem Unfortunately as of now only one side is being heard. These are my feelings on the matter and if this post gets pulled I guess I spoke out of turn And I apologized. But last time I looked we still had freedom of speech in this country? but maybe not. And if this is my last post I'LL know I went to far but I just had to speak up
Thank You for Listening

Freedom of speech, has a place....and this forum surely shouldn't be used as supreme reference for such.
When this site first got going there was a member who was simply talking politics and was boohooed for such.SmokinStangs and the general member base SIMPLY DIDN'T WANT to have the topic discussed here on the site, and the moderation line was then established.
The bottom line is and it should be noted...that most frequent the SmokinStangs - Mustang Forum website as means of relaxation & fun. It should be further noted by all that the boohooed political topic/topics could/can be easily found elsewhere. All was accepted as fine, the member is still a member of SmokinStangs as of today, and we all positively learned from the subject matter.

The same situation is apparently occurring again (as mention is post #8), but via a different topic. From the sites POV....the choice to apply moderation is/was clear.

Just say the word....as we have saved the content just in case it is needed to be reflected upon for future reference.
If you wish to have the MODERATED POST re-instated...be prepared to clearly & fully explain your post in detail, so that it can be followed by all interested parties.

No one is challenging you , the site or the event.
What's done is done and you can't change it.
Let's just all move on and hope we can all learn from the experience.
