We just finished putting interior and ext together then went for a ride drove apprx, 15 miles on sunoco 93 ran the nuts .drove to dover nh car stalled a few times on the way started right back up .went home did an idle relearn drove fine shut car off hard restart then stalling again .i had another iac/bypass valve repeated the whole porocedure runs a little better .still stalls after relearn .????????any suggestions wouild be appreciated thanks hope to be driving it in this weekend just look for a black 93 lx hatch with nh temp plate
If you had the battery unhooked it will take at least a couple hundred miles on an obd1 system to relearn. I would test the tps with a volt meter and see if it shows around .97 volts with the key on not running just to eliminate that. I would also due the basic check for a vacuum leak on the intake. Just a few things I have found over the years. You may have already tried these but I thought I would just throw it out to you
Def try the above if you have not. This has happened to me before after a long layup and I turned the idle screw up a tad bit that cleared it up...then you could always reset the TPS again.
You could also unhook the battery to reset the computer and see if that helps....then just let the relearn process take place and see if that clears it up. I can take a look at it up in Laconia..heading up in a few minutes...Just look for my Black Fox or ask any SmokinStangs Laconia Staff to find only90s.

TPS voltage can be anywhere between 0.5v and 1.1v. You do not need to chase a specific number as the EEC takes a reading on startup and uses that a Vreference. WOT is then triggered at 2.71 volts above that Vref
Here's a post I made to explain the functions of the tps
http://www.stangnet.com/mustang-foru...necessary.html
Run the codes is the easy way. If the tps voltage is outside the 0.5-1.1v range, you will generate a code 23. No code 23, you are fine don't touch the tps. You do not need to set it to .99v
Run your codes as your symptoms suggest faulty ect and/or tps issues.
