Wink RunninHorse's '93 Reef Blue Coupe

SmokinStangs - Mustang Forum! The home of the SmokinStangs Laconia - Mustang Rally
I thought a good first post would be to show my current project, my recently acquired '93 Coupe. Long story short; I bought the car with a supposedly "well built" 347 stroker in it. About 650 miles later I dropped a valve and found two damaged pistons when I took that head off. Over the last 10 months I put the top end from the 347 onto a rebuilt stock bottom end for temporary use. We'll see how temporary it is. I threw in a B303 bump stick for now. I might swap in a custom grind if this temporary thing turns long term. I went this route because I want to be able to drive it and it will be a while before I can properly rebuild the 347 if I even do that.

Here is a list of the current goodies.
    1. '89 stock block with stock internals (pistons notched by me), rebuilt about 30k miles ago
    2. Billet main girdle
    3. ARP fasteners/studs throughout
    4. Old Trick Flow High Port 192cc heads; 58.5cc chambers, steel 2.08/160s, “stage III” ported by Ed Curtis, FTI PS4 dual springs (155# at 1.850”, .650” lift capable), hardened spring locators, flowed ~300 at .600"
    5. Harland sharp offset 1.6 rockers with hardened guide plates
    6. Comp Cams hardened pushrods, 6.4" gave the best witness mark
    7. B303, degreed and was dead on
    8. Canton 7 qt pan
    9. FMS double roller timing chain
    10. Professional Products 50oz harmonic damper
    11. Edelbrock Victor 5.0 upper and lower (unported for now)
    12. BBK 75mm TB with 75mm EGR delete plate
    13. Pro-M 80mm “shorty” MAF with a 10” cone K&N
    14. Underdrive pulleys
    15. Mallory adj. fuel pressure regulator with the gauge on the line
    16. 255lph intank pump
    17. Stock fuel rails and lines (to be upgraded before the 347 is ready)
    18. PRW high flow mechanical water pump, 180* Fail-Safe T-stat
    19. TKO transmission with “stage III” double sided ceramic clutch 550ft lb capacity
    20. Fedanza lightweight aluminum flywheel (50oz)
    21. FMS aluminum driveshaft and safety loop
    22. Rear: FMS 3.73s, Auburn Pro 31 spline limited slip diff., Strange SS 31 spline c-clip eliminator axles, Summit aluminum diff. cover/stud girdle, 3” hardened wheel studs, “fully welded axle tubes,” red line oil
    23. 130 amp 3G alternator
    24. 30# Accel injectors
    25. MSD Blaster TFI coil
    26. 8mm Taylor wires
    27. MSD 6AL
    28. High-torque mini-starter
    29. Battery is in the trunk
    30. MAC Exhaust: 1 ¾ longtube headers w/ 3” collector, 2 ½” h-pipe, 2 ½” flow tubes, 3" Flowmasters, 3" tail pipes (I'm going all 3" hopefully soon)
    31. Suspension: Eibach springs, UPR uppers, Granatelli weight jacker lowers, KYB GR2 front struts, rear KYB GasaJust shocks, Maximum Motorsports adjustable caster/camber plates, Steeda front sway bar with poly bushings (looks like a stock one repainted), Kenne Bell style weld on subframe connectors
    32. Four point cage
    33. Rear seat delete
    34. Corbeau Bucket seats
    35. New black interior
    36. Last weighed in at 2920 lb without driver

I just recently got it inspected and registered. I celebrated that by driving it to work, where my fuel pump subsequently died and I had to have it towed home, lol. I have one ordered and I hope to get it back on the road later this week.

Here's an idle video I took after getting the new tail pipes and mufflers on. I don't know why the video is upside down. http://img600.imageshack.us/my.php?image=x1m.mp4

Here is an album of pics taken during the build. http://img3.imageshack.us/slideshow/...=img0302tl.jpg
