So...my car still wont start (previous thread) but now a new problem has arisen. When I turn the key and put it in the on position, my radiator fan kicks in and doesn't stop? My "theft" light on the dashboard is freaking out blinking like crazy...what on earth did i do? The last thing I did before this started happening was return my car to "stock" using my SCT X3 tuner. NOW when I try and plug the tuner into the port...it wont recognize my car...says "no vehicle attached"?
I did an update on the tuner (after this happened) and the update took...so i don't think there's anything wrong with the tuner. Did I fry the cars computer? I see ECM's for sale on ebay for my car (99 GT)...can I just get one of them? Or do I need to have it towed to ford and pay them a million dollars to fix it? I am so frustrated right now =(...any help...or good news is appreciated.
Is it possible...that the engine not firing has something to do with my PATS system? And is it also possible that my current problem and the previous problem have to do with a bad ECM...just as a reminder (mentioned in previous post)...I took the battery out of the car for 3 months. And all this has happened since I hooked it back up.

It flashes really fast for like a minute...then it slows down to like once every 2 or 3 seconds...all while the key is in the on position.
Is there a chance that you might need to reprogram the keys???
sounds like your antitheft system needs to be reset, had it happen to freinds car same year i think, had to be reset by a FORD computer then had no more issues..... he was also using an SCT
2012 Boss mustang, UPR upper/ lowers, JLT CAI, flowmaster axle backs tuned by DEZ RACING , billet grill, LS spoiler, 302s HOOD',1/4 window louvers, track key401RWHP11.9
1994 Mustang (PROJECT) 347 stroker, 4 bolt main SVO block, windsor senior cast iron heads, Forged motor built and assembled by DEZ RACING, F1C PROCHARGER Full UPR suspension, smoothed front inner fenders, expecting 750 RWHP on pump gas
Does sound like a PATS problem.
Have you checked PCM for fault code DTCs?
You may also want to try a spare key if you have one, the key may have lost its programming.
But if you try to start the car with a bad key too many times, it locks the system, because it thinks the car is being stolen, which sets a fault code, and usually can be cleared with a scan tool. So check and clear codes before you try another key.
Quick question... should I have to enter image verification for every post?

No, brand new members may have to do that for a few posts until they get approved by Bob (SmokinStangs) or myself. But once you're a full "registered" member, you should be good to go. Are you using a different computer? It sounds like the forum software is not accepting our authentication for some reason. PM me if you continue having the problem.

So...the problem I was having above was due to my PATS (Passive Anti-Theft System), apparently the transponder in the steering column lost its code to my ECM...and the car went into lock down. After MANY hours of searching...the ONLY option I had was to have it towed to FORD and pay them top dollar to RESET and "Re-Marry" the Cluster, Keys and ECM. (I called all the locksmiths as well to no avail, none of them could help me) But after having 2 towing companies come to my house, look at the car, and tell me "It's TOO LOW for us to tow it, even with our special flatbed"...I was shit outta luck and in a very BAD mood.
Just when all hope had seemed lost...the VERY WONDERFUL, INCREDIBLE, SUPERBULOUS AAA towing guy got a message from god...(I wanna have a shirt made with that exact saying on it)...and when GOD implanted this thought in his head, a thought he must tell me, he stopped...got out of his truck and said..."Hey...I just thought of something...there's this company we have used before in situations kinda like this...they are called "EKeys 4 Cars". Give em a call".
So I ran in the house and called em...told em my situation, and he said "sure I can have that reset for you by one of my tech's...he can be at your house in 1 hour. I got off the phone and started to doubt that it could actually be this "easy"...he must have misunderstood me...and how much is this gonna cost me? (I was so excited I had forgotten to ask).
An hour later the company truck pulls into my drive way, the dude pulls this big ass box out of the back and brings it to my car. In the box was this T shaped computer...he hooked it up, said we had to wait 10 minutes...and ten minutes later it was done. To my amazement...everything was remarried and the car started right up.
So...it really is that easy sometimes...even when 100 different people (no joke) told me the ONLY way I was gonna get this thing fixed was to have it towed to ford...I had managed to stumble on to this company and had some fella drive to my house and fix it in 10 minutes. And here's the best part...when I asked how much I owed him...he says ..."nothing...I'll bill AAA" OMFG...10 minutes and FREE!!!!!!!!!!! So if anyone ever has this issue in the future..."EKeys 4 Cars" is your friend...and if you happen to have AAA...they are your BEST friend =).
Just thought I'd share that story...could save someone lots of money and time in the future. Sure wish someone had posted this story before I wasted countless hours on the phone and high levels of very un needed stress.
