My rear tires are completely bald after lat season so ill be replacing them in the spring. I am toying with the idea of running drag radials all the time since they are not that much more then the toyo proxis im running. I usually just run the drag radials to the track and back. Anyone run DR's on a daily driven vehicle? Will I be screwed if I get caught up in the rain?

Haha no hoosiers got it! Haha! I was thinking about the nitto dr's they look a little more street managable than my MT et streets. Any one try the nittos?

What he said. In fact, I don't even consider the Nitto's a real track tire. I often run my MT ET Drags on the street....basically whenever I'm too lazy to change my tires before going out on a crusie. They are fine on the street, but can't say I've driven around in much rain with them. Not sure I'd really want to. The Nitto's on the other hand are fine for all around weather. Ran them on my daily driver Lightning for a couple of years.

ET Streets are freakin' slicks, so no shocker there!!! lol I used to run them on the Stang before I switched to the MT DR's.
Nitto has a new DR coming out soon - the NT-05R. Might be worth waiting to see what the reviews say about it.

I really appreciate the input guys! Sounds like the nittos are not what im looking for. I do have the MT et street radials but they are mounted on a 15 inch rim that i use only for the track. I love the MT radial at the track but like I said I don't want to have to check weather reports before I drive.
