Snow Performance vs Mr Freeze vs Baseline (dyno results)

SmokinStangs - Mustang Forum! The home of the SmokinStangs Laconia - Mustang Rally
Setup: Dart 349ci shortblock, AFR 205 heads, Anderson blower cam, Edelbrock RPMII intake, Vortech T-trim@17.2-17.7 lbs of boost, 1 7/8" Long tube headers from Kooks and full 3" exhaust system and Aeromotive fuel system A1000, and 80lbs.

Before dyno runs: Motor was leaked down...results were fine, compression checks were fine, Full tune-up (MSD wires, spark plugs gapped @.025 and then .030), fuel filters, etc.

Issues: We were having issues with the distributor dropping or losing a signal. Setup is using a MSD distributor. It didn't feel like a traditional miss where the car dives over but you could feel something wasn't right. Even on the clean passes at higher rpms the car didn't seem to rev quite right. We continued with testing at customer's request.

1st graph: Snow Performance@17.2psi (blue graph) vs Mr. Freeze@17.7psi (red graph) (RWHP curve).

    2nd graph: Snow@17.2psi vs Mr. Freeze@17.7psi (RWTQ)

3rd graph: Snow vs Baseline (26 vs 21 degrees of total timing)

4th graph: Snow vs Baseline (26 vs 21 degrees of total timing)

My conclusion: Wish we didn't have the issues but besides that both kits worked great and showed a huge improvement over the pump gas setup (93 octane).

Mr. Freeze setup: Pre-injection, Boost Juice, and not sure on nozzle size
Snow Performance: Post Injection, Stage 3, Boost Jiuce with (1) 625ml/min and (1) 60ml/min nozzles
start injection: 5psi and full ativation: 16psi

Pulse width: The Stage 3 controller measures pulse width and they were 72%-74%.

Going to swap out electronics in MSD ignition for Ford internals and see if the loss of signal goes away.

    Thanks
    Michael Plummer

Nope not at all. It does have some draw backs but it works well.
