    This is one SMOKIN 1966 Shelby G.T. 350H













    * 1,001 Produced * Cobra 289 High Performance V8 engine * Output: 306 hp and 329 lb-ft of torque * Total cost in 1966: $17 a day and 17 cents a mile

    The owners reside here in New England, and this was their "Super Sweet, 2010 World of Wheels display in Boston, MA

    I was just corresponding with the Jay Doerfler of Auto Body Specialists regarding this most unique Shelby GT350H. I should have recognized the work.....but didn't put 2 and 2 together until now.

    I visited Jay's shop in the past, recalling the level of projects that he had one had, to include......a true Eleanor (Proper Vin,Tags, Matching Numbers) car, I'm not surprised to learn that he was commissioned to perform this restoration for car collector Archie Delorio.

    Oh yeah......I believe I even caught a peek of one of these originals on hand!! The coveted masterpiece known as the Boss 429 engine.
    Dam.....that thing has some humongous heads on it too!!!!
