There are some that won't hurt the car without a tune.
They also don't help much without a tune.
I have a slightly used K&N CAI that can be run without a tune I am willing to sell cheap.
I would advise getting a tune as soon as you can for any intake you choose.
Almost any CAI you choose flows plenty of air for a stock engine.
You actually will notice more from the tune than any intake.

There are no tune cai, that in essence, do not change the mass air meter size and flow only slightly better than stock, and as mentioned minimal actual benefit. Bbk, roush and air raid to name a few and I think C&L now has one as well. The roush and air raid (same product) are actually upgradable. They have an insert that keeps the Mass air meter the same as factory for a no tune option and you can remove the insert for max benefit with a tune. Slight variations in meter size are compensated for by the cars stock computer program. The problem comes when larger meters / ducts are used, the MAF sensor/ stock fuel compensation scheme is over whelmed from too much air flow causing the car to run lean and set codes.
