Hey everyone. Finally installed the SHR fuel door I got for Christmas. Had to wait for the first decent warm day we got so far which turned out to be this past Friday. I reconnected my battery and checked the oil, tire pressure and a few other things and started her up! Called my insurance company Sunday and put it back on full coverage and took her out of storage for the first time this winter! What a rush feeling the power again after driving the 4 cylinder Saturn all winter! Love how the new fuel door looks with the black rims and GT/CS stripe. Have a matching rear medallion to install soon also!

Hmmmmm.....

I wonder if that would look good on a black Cobra? It would be subtle -- and I like subtle.

It just might, Jim! And if you don't like it, it's easy to reverse and sell it. :thumbup1:

Hey thanks everyone for your comments. Jim here's a link to SHR's website if you want to look into this fuel door.

They have a few finishes and combinations available. With or without the GT engaving. Including Black, Satin Bright and Silver Anodized, Triple Chrome Plated and Bare Machined Aluminum which requires finishing so you could have it painted to match your car if you wanted. They will mix and match finishes of the outer ring and inner door. Such as Satin Bright outer ring with a Black door or whatever. Which I gave consideration to but decided to continue to keep the theme of my car simple redfire with black accents. Black or Satin Bright would look good on your car I believe! The satin is a nice finish. Not too bright like the chrome.

I looked at their site. Nice stuff. I think I'd go with black anodized or the bare aluminum, painted Gloss Black to match my car.
Well, I'll add it to the list for when I'm employed again. (That list is getting pretty long...)

Here's the homepage link to SHR. Check out all their stuff. They also have matching rear medallions to the fuel door which I also bought.

Yeah either selection would be nice on your car. I'd lean towards the black anodized rather then painting the bare alum. to match. Only b/c I think the painted door would not standout as much as I'd like to see but the black anodized would butr still be subtle especially from a distance. SHR has a customer ride section with many of the fuel doors on different cars.
Here's the link to the customer ride pics.
